It’s the Festival Season! Here’s the list for 2019. Email us if you know of or have an event to add: beer@kansascitybeer.com. As some events draw closer, we will update with current information. Upcoming Events:

Saturday, September 14

  • 1pm-6pm – Independence Uncorked, Bingham-Waggoner Historical Society, 313 W Pacific Ave, Independence, MO 64050 – One of the largest Missouri wineries samplings, there will also be art, music, beer, food booths, and wine classes. $30 Advance, $40 at the door
  • 2pm-6pm – KC Beer Fest, Power & Light District, Kansas City, MO 64106 – One of the bigger beer fests, sample from over 200 hand-picked craft beers.
  • 3pm-12am – Praireland Beer & Music Festival, Wave, 650 E 2nd St, Wichita, KS 67202 – Beer, live music, and food trucks.

Saturday, September 21

  • 12pm-5pm – Festival of the Lost Township, Downtown Raytown, E 63rd St & Raytown Rd, Raytown, MO 64138 – If you want a mix of great homebrewers and established breweries, this is a good festival to attend.

Friday, September 27

  • 6pm-11pm – Brews and Bands, Unspoken Water Brewing Company/The Fuel House, 611 W 2nd St, Bonner Springs, KS 66012 – Two bands, two fully stocked bars, food truck, and samples of 8 different beers brewed by Unspoken Water Brewing Company. $30 GA

Saturday, September 28

  • 12pm-12am – NKC Music Fest, North Kansas City – Listen to a mix of live area bands while checking out some fun NKC places.
  • 3:30pm-8pm – Tap That Topeka, 800-900 Blocks of Kansas Ave, Downtown Topeka, KS 66603 – Plenty of beers to try. $65 VIP, $35 GA, $20 VIP DD, $10 DD, Tickets go up $5 at the door

Friday & Saturday, October 4 & 5

  • 5pm-11pm Friday, 11am-11pm Saturday- KC Oktoberfest, Crown Center, 2450 Grand Boulevard, Kansas City, MO 64108 – Kansas City’s largest traditional celebration of Bavarian-style bier, food, and music will be at Crown Center and presented by KC Bier Co. It’s modeled after the Munich Oktoberfest, so it should be a fun time with local food vendors, games and competitions, arts and wares, carnival rides, and bier!

Saturday, October 5

  • 2pm-6pm – Alley Beer Fest, American Legion Post 318, 11 Main St, Parkville, MO 64152 – The first ever Alley Beer Fest will be organized by the homebrew group Missouri Mashers. Local microbrews and homebrews made specifically made for the event will be served and there will be hot dogs, games, and live music. Share of the proceeds benefit veterans in the Parkville area. $25 GA

Saturday, October 12

  • 12pm-6pm – Pint Path NKC, North Kansas City, MO 64116 – Hit up all 24 spots on the path for discounts and specials on beer, cocktails, food, and merchandise. Complete one of the six paths for your chance to win prizes. There will also be fun novelty photo ops and a contest revolving around those. $7 Early Bird, $10 Regular
  • 4pm-9pm – Botanical Brewfest, Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Garden, 8909 W 179th St, Overland Park, KS 66085 – Beers from over 40 breweries with over 100 beers for tasting, food, music, games, and fun. $75 VIP, $60 GA

  • 7pm-10pm – Ales & Tails, Thompson Barn, 11184 Lackman Rd, Lenexa, KS 66219 – This event will raise money for Pawsitive Tails Dog Rescue and will include a silent auction, adoptable dogs, cheese & pizza, and samples of beers. $25

Saturday, January 26

  • 12pm-4pm – The Big Chill, Stockyards Brewing Co, 1600 Genessee St #100, Kansas City, MO 64102 – A strong beer and chili tasting event featuring 1-2 strong beers from local and regional breweries and chili made from one of their strong beers. $75 VIP with Brunch, $50 VIP, $40 GA

Saturday, February 09

  • 1pm-5pm – KC Brew Fest, Union Station, 30 W Pershing Road, Kansas City, MO 64108 – Dozens of craft and international breweries, as well as local breweries will serve their beers at historic Union Station. $50 VIP, $40 GA

Saturday, February 16

  • 1pm-5pm – KC Bier Co Anniversary Party, KC Bier Co, 310 W 79th St, Kansas City, MO 64114 – 24 small-batch specialty biers, German-style festival fare, and plenty of Gemütlichkeit, KC Bier Co celebrates its 5th anniversary in style. Entry fee of $10 at the door and includes a 7 oz sampling glass and five bier tokens.

  • 1pm-5pm – Flyover Beer Fest, Mother’s Brewing Company, 215 S Grant Ave, Springfield, MO 65806 – This fest is all about the heartland. Not that there’s anything wrong with the coasts, but “brewers in flyover country are their own breed.” $75 VIP, $50 GA, $10 DD

Saturday, March 16

  • All Day – Snake Saturday, North Kansas City – Celebrate chasing snakes out of Ireland in the wonderful city of North Kansas City! There are 5 breweries, a distillery, and several bars partying it up today. Check out our Snake Saturday page for more information. Parade is free but breweries and bars may be charging a cover fee.
  • 12pm-4pm – Missouri Beer Festival, Columbia’s Holiday Inn Select, 2200 Interstate 70 Dr SW, Columbia, MO 65203 – Enjoy unlimited craft beer sampling at this mid-state festival in its 9th year. $50 VIP, $30 GA advanced, $40 GA at the door
  • 2pm-6pm – Cass County Beer Fest, Mill Walk Mall, 2601 Cantrell Rd, Harrisonville, MO 64701 – A showcase of the area’s premier brewmasters, the fest will be held in the spacious Mill Walk Mall. Proceeds benefit The Moving Wall. $20 GA

  • 1pm-5pm – Blarney Brew Off, 204 SW Market St, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063 – If you’re not ready to be done with the Irish and green beers this year, check out this beer fest! Over 100 homebrewed beers will be available for you to try. $30 GA advanced, $45 GA at the door

  • 6:30pm-9pm – Forks & Corks, Arrowhead Stadium, 1 Arrowhead Dr, Kansas City, MO 64129 – For 23 years, this event has helped support Harvesters’ hunger relief efforts. $125 GA, $200 VIP

Saturday, April 06

  • 3pm-7pm – Flint Hills Beer Fest, Blue Earth Plaza, 3rd & Colorado, Manhattan, KS 66502 – Beer sampling from over 25 breweries and proceeds go to a local charity. There will also be live music, food trucks, and some vendors to explore. $65 VIP, $40 GA
  • 5pm-8pm – Spring Fling Beer Fest, iWerx, 1520 Clay St, North Kansas City, MO 64116 – In its third year, this intimate yet highly-attended event will raise money for charity and offer samples of locally made beer, wine, and mead. $30 GA advanced, $40 GA at the door, $10 DD

Thursday, April 25

  • 5pm-8pm – Craft and Compassion, Downtown Lawrence, Lawrence, KS 66044 – Samples of beers from local breweries, food to go with the beers from local restaurants, and vendors set up for you to explore. Proceeds benefit Positive Bright Start. $50 GA

Saturday, April 27

  • 11am-5pm – Kegs ‘N’ Eggs, Renaissance Festival Grounds, Bonner Springs, KS 66012 – Go egg hunting with fellow beer lovers and get some cool prizes. There will be live music, beer samples, and food available. Pre-party starts at 11am with the egg hunt starting at 1pm. $45 GA, $15 DD
  • 1pm-5pm – Parkville Microbrew Fest, Platte Landing Park, Parkville, MO 64152 – 15 years! This festival is notorious for its rainy days but last year was great! The fest will have handcrafted ales from over 80 breweries including several homebrew clubs, live music, and great food in Historic Downtown Parkville. Admission opens at 11am and beer sampling starts at 1pm.   • 2pm-10pm – KC Brew & Chew, East Forty Brewing, 1201 W Main St, Blue Springs, MO 64015 – Downtown Blue Springs will be the place for this festival in its second year. It’s a free festival but you must have a ticket for the craft beer sampling from 2pm until 6pm. $20 Craft Beer Sampling Ticket

Saturday, May 11

  • 1pm-5pm – Strother Brewfest, Downtown Lee’s Summit, SE Main St, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063 – Limited release beers, world class breweries, and unlimited pours. Proceeds donated to local non profits. $50 VIP, $35 GA

Saturday, May 18

  • 2pm-6pm – KC Nanobrew Festival, Berkley Riverfront Park, Grand Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64120 – Mostly homebrews but it’s the best of the best! Unique beers will be available ranging from rosemary IPA to margarita kolsch and everything in between. $35 GA advanced, $40 GA at the door, Free for DD
  • 3pm-7pm – Bacon and Beer Festival, Hartman Arena, 8151 N Hartman Arena Dr, Park City, KS 67147 – Over 75 beer varieties, bacon, mechanical pig riding, bacon, bourbon, live entertainment, and more bacon. $30 GA, $65 VIP

Sunday, May 19

  • 7am-2pm – Tour de Bier, Knuckleheads Saloon, 2715 Rochester Ave, Kansas City, MO 64120 – Ever thought your waistline is going to regret a beer fest? The Tour de Bier takes you on a point-to-point bicycle tour of Kansas City’s breweries so no waistline regrets! It also takes you to brewing landmarks and you get to learn about the history of Kansas City brewing. $55 VIP, $35 GA, $5 DD

Saturday, June 01

  • 12pm-5pm – Get Ripped Brew Fest, Big Rip Brewing,  216 E 9th Ave, North Kansas City, MO 64116 – The first brewery in NKC is celebrating their 6th Anniversary and want you to join them. Ticket prices TBD
  • 6pm-10pm – KC Spring Brew Fest, Arrowhead Stadium, 1 Arrowhead Drive, Kansas City, MO 64129 – Hosts of the Kansas City Brew Fest at Union Station are looking to host another Brew Fest in another famous Kansas City location. Arrowhead Stadium will be the place for this Brew Fest. Ticket prices TBD
  • 6pm-10pm – Brew at the Zoo Topeka, Topeka Zoo, 635 SW Gage Blvd, Topeka, KS 66606 – Drink among the animals but please don’t become one. The event will have over 140 beers available, a DJ, fun games, and food from food trucks. $70 VIP, $40 GA, $20 DD

Friday, June 14

  • 6pm-9pm – Wine and Brew Walk on the Square, The Independence Square, Independence, MO 64050 – Stroll the historic Independence Square while trying some local and regional wine, brews, and spirits. $40 VIP, $20 Advanced, $30 at the door
  • 6:30pm-9:30pm – Lawrence Summer Brew Fest, Abe & Jake’s Landing, 8 East 6th St, Lawrence, KS 66044 – Crafty beers and crafty crafts will be available at this Friday night fest.  $25 GA

Friday & Saturday, June 14 & 15

  • 4pm-11pm Friday, 11am-11pm Saturday – Boulevardia, West Bottoms, 1503 Genessee St, Kansas City, MO 64102 – Once again Boulevardia takes over the West Bottoms with music, food, and beer, of course. Ticket prices vary.

  • Times Vary – Briarfest V, The Village at Briarcliff, 4151 N Mulberry Dr, Kansas City, MO 64116 – A two-day festival celebrating the northland neighborhood. More details to come.

Saturday, June 22

  • 12pm-5pm – Brew-B-Que, Renaissance Festival Grounds, Bonner Springs, KS 66012 – Two of KC’s best thing: Beer & BBQ. Unlimited craft beer samples and samples from BBQ food trucks. $35 GA, $5 DD

Saturday, June 29

  • 4pm-9pm – Crossroads Beer Fest, Crossroads KC, 417 E 18th Street, Kansas City, MO 64108 – The Crossroads District now has five breweries and plenty of tap houses, but if you want to try samples of different beers, the Crossroads Beer Fest is a good way to do it. Live music from 5pm until 11pm, so you can still party after the samples stop. $65 VIP, $26.50 GA advanced, $36.50 GA at the door

Friday, July 12

  • 6pm-10pm – Fins & Flights, SEA LIFE Aquarium, 2475 Grand Boulevard, Kansas City, MO 64108 – Swim with the fishes or at least drink like one at this year’s Fins & Flights at SEA LIFE Aquarium. This unique event will feature several local breweries and opportunities to touch some fun sea creatures. $35 GA, $25 GA Annual Pass Holder, $15 DD

Saturday, August 10

  • 5pm-9pm – UNICO Microbrew Festival at Zona Rosa, Zona Rosa, 8640 N Dixson Ave, Kansas City, MO 64153 – More than 50 microbrews will be available for you to enjoy at this festival in its 11th year. $25 GA advance, $30 GA at the door.

Saturday, August 17

  • 5pm-8pm – Hip Hops Hooray, New Axiom Brewing, 949 NE Columbus St, Lee’s Summit, MO 64086 – With a change of venue, Hip Hops Hooray will be bigger than ever this year. There will be great food, unique beers, fun music, and a beautiful view.  Tickets will be on sale soon.

Saturday, August 24

  • 1pm-4pm – South East Craft Beer Fest, Columbia, MO – Sample beers, get a t-shirt, and learn about new breweries because breweries from all over the country will be in attendance.  $70 VIP, $45 GA, $10 DD
