Who’s ready for a spooky, BOOzy time? This Halloween is ramping up to be the biggest for the beer scene! Check out the special happenings this weekend.

Friday, October 29

  • 3pm – While picking up your supplies for the Halloween weekend, have a tasting from Boulevard Brewing at Lukas Wine & Spirits. 12100 Blue Valley Parkway, Overland Park, KS 66213
  • 4pm – Get your weekend started right with a Flight Night at BeerSauce. The craft beer shop collaborated with Third Wheel Brewing to produce the timely name Monster Party Berliner Weisse and will have other beers, spirits to taste. 1219 W 103rd St, Kansas City, MO 64114
  • 5pm – Enjoy live music at Cinder Block Brewery. Tyler & Cheyenne Giles return to the North Kansas City brewery with a particular brand of self-depreciation and country music. 110 E 18th Ave, North Kansas City, MO 64116
  • 5:45pm – Now you’re ready for dinner and Rochester Brewing and Roasting Co has just the dinner for you. Mesa Oculta will be a 5-course meal with beer pairing that will celebrate Mexican culture. 2129 Washington St, Kansas City, MO 64108
  • 6pm – Apparition Spookeasy is in its final weekend at 3 Trails Brewing in Independence. Visit the former morgue for spooky drinks and creepy sensory experiences. 110 N Main St, Independence, MO 64050
  • 7pm – Halloween kicks off a day early at Iron Kettle Brewing. A fun filled Halloween Extravaganza will have a costume contest along with other raffles and prizes. Live music from Grindstone. 508 S Main St, Grain Valley, MO 64029

Saturday, October 30

  • 9am – Can’t drink all day without starting in the morning! At least you get a quick workout before chugging at this Graveyard 5K Run & Walk.   • 10am – Get into pumpkin mode at the 3rd Annual Pumpkin Carving at Rochester Brewing and Roasting Co. Maybe they’ll have a pumpkin beer on tap or a pumpkin latte for you to sip on while carving. 2129 Washington, Kansas City, MO 64108
  • 10:30am – Amy Poe (fitting name for Halloween!) will be leading a yoga class at Sandhills Brewing in Mission. Poses & Pints will be a slow-flow restorative class and the beer will be flowing, too. Bring your yoga mat!   •  12pm – There’s a first for everything, especially when you’re one of the newest breweries in town! Red Sash Brewing will host their first Boo Bash.   • 12pm – Hoping to get cookies in your Trick-or-Treat bag? Make sure you get your cookie fix at Broken Hatchet Brewing where they’ll be having a release party for their scale up with Jeremy Rott.   • 12pm – What’s cuter than an animal in a costume? Nothing! Okay, some things. Transparent Brewing is hosting their Second Annual Howl-O-Ween Pet Costume Contest. The Chive, next door, will be offering Doggie Dinners for $5. Don’t have a non-human friend to bring?   • 4pm – Costumes are highly encouraged when you visit Night of the Thirsty Dead at Double Shift Brewing.   • 7pm – Big Rip Brewing is a horror-themed brewery so it’s the perfect place to be for a Halloween Party. With your Ripper Halloween ticket, enjoy free beer, party punch, tunes from DJ cQuence, and more. There will be bar games and a Costume Contest.   • 7pm – When your brewery’s not open yet, you have the party at another brewery. Kemet Coleman of the soon-to-open brewery Vine Street Brewing, is helping MC Brass and Booojie Halloween at Crane Brewing. It’s a block party with Kansas City-based 18(!)-piece big band Brass & Boujee. This is a 21+ show and tickets are free.
