Snake Saturday 2018
Snake Saturday is Painting the Town Green in 2018, so here are the events with starting times for the beer places and others. The parade begins at 11am with activities throughout North Kansas City before and after. We will update this page as more information becomes available.
7am – Doughnut Lounge 1250 Burlington St – Get some doughnuts and coffee before, during, and after the parade at Doughnut Lounge’s soft opening in North Kansas City!
7am – NKCFD 1815 Howell St – Pancake breakfast for a good cause! Start your Snake Saturday morning off right by getting breakfast with the North Kansas City Fire Department Station 1. Proceeds ($5 per person) will benefit the Fire Fighters Community Service Organization of North Kansas City. No beer, but who wants beer that early anyway…
8am – Big Rip Brewing Company 216 E 9th Ave – Kegs and Pancakes Breakfast, live music, 12 taps of beer and cocktail specialties. Must be 21+, $5 for breakfast
8am – Depot Saloon 2702 N Bell St – Breakfast buffet and then corned beef & cabbage at noon. Drink and shot specials going on all day!
8am – Paul & Jack’s Tavern 1808 Clay St – Outlaw Jim & the Whisky Benders will be playing from noon to 5pm. $5 cover
8am – Repeal 18th 1825 Buchanan St – Enjoy live music, Irish drink and food specials, and the Irish atmosphere. $5 to get you into the day-long party for 21+
9am – The Brewkery 1443 Swift Ave – Tapping their new Cucumber Green Apple Kombucha (super green!) with a yummy food special: Irish beef & cabbage hand pies.
9am – Chicken N Pickle 1761 Burlington – The usual fun, outdoor games along with good beer and other fun stuff will be happening this year at Chicken N Pickle. $10 cover and $25 for VIP (cash only) 21+
9am – Cinder Block Brewery 110 E 18th Ave -Smoked corned beef and biscuits & gravy for breakfast and then Reuben egg rolls and brats for lunch. Live music starting at noon. $3 entry fee or $10 for entry, a color changing glass, and your first beer. 21+
9am – Grain to Glass 1611 Swift Ave – This will be their 5th year celebrating! A great spot to watch the parade for a $5 cover that’s good for one beer. The beer garden will be covered with a tent and have food like scones, corned beef & cabbage, fries, and brownies. Winners of their Irish-only homebrew competition will be announced at 10am.
9am – The Rino and Colony Espresso & Beer 312 Armour Rd – Watch the parade from inside with some new Irish beers from Colony Handcrafted Ales, enjoy Irish cocktails, eat brunch from Beerded Man’s Kitchen, and listen to live music.
10am – American Fusion Cafe 1621 Swift Ave – Open late (11:30pm) so you have a place to wind down or keep the party going! Try their famous fish tacos, loaded Irish fries, Irish meatballs, or their self-proclaimed best Reuben sandwich in town. Full bar will be open as well.
10am – Calibration Brewery 119 Armour Rd – Food, beer, and live music!
10am – Velo Garage and Tap House 1403 Swift Ave – Beer garden that will serve directly behind Velo Garage.
11am – Restless Spirits 109 E 18th Ave – Shenanigans include live music, distillery tours ($5), special Irish cocktails, unique doughnuts from Doughnut Lounge, photos with the Restless Paddywagon, and giveaways! $10 cover charge, 21+
12pm – Neon Wild 1802 Clay St – Live music from Midnight Rodeo
1pm – Smokin’ Guns BBQ 1218 Swift Ave – Live music and good BBQ
5pm – No. 9 Saloon 6609 N Oak Trfy – If you’re not ready to go home after it dies down in NKC, head a little bit north to No. 9 Saloon for green beers, food specials, and more!
