Boulevard in Cans

Boulevard Can Beer

Just in time for National Beer Can Appreciation Day, Boulevard has announced they will start selling their beers in cans!  January 24th is National Beer Can Appreciation Day and while you can’t enjoy Boulevard in a can just yet, you can appreciate the fact that beer has been sold in cans since 1935.

Boulevard has listened to their fans and is currently in the planning stages of bringing canned Boulevard beer to stores in 2015.  They are finalizing details, but their goal is to release six packs of 12 ounce cans of Heavy Lifting IPA, Ginger Lemon Radler, Pop-Up Session IPA, and their ever-popular Unfiltered Wheat Beer.

Heavy Lifting IPA is based on the successful Tasting Room beer, Mid-Coast IPA.  It will be a year-round offering available in both cans and on draft.  It features massive late and dry-hopping with Centennial, Amarillo, Topaz, and Citra hops.

So, tomorrow, celebrate by popping open a can from Tallgrass or whatever can beer you enjoy and dream of the day when you can drink a nice, cold Boulevard can of beer.

Grain to Glass Glassware Workshop

Want a new, better way to taste beer?  Grain to Glass is hosting a Spiegelau Glassware Tasting tonight (January 20) at 7pm.  Representatives from Spiegelau will be giving a presentation on glassware details and serving four nice beers in the glasses.  You will be able to compare the glasses with standard pint glasses to see for yourself why Spiegelau Glasses are better.

The shape and thickness of glassware affect the taste and aroma of beer.  Approved by an expert tasting panel of master brewer and industry professional, this glassware brings out the best in complex craft beers.  Spiegelau teamed up with some of the nation’s best breweries to figure out the best way to drink stouts, IPAs, wheat beers, and pilsner.

There are still a few spots available for the event which starts at 7pm.  It’s $40 per ticket and you get to keep the glassware.  Email Jennifer Helber at jthelber@hotmail.com or click here to get tickets.
